California Reentry Institute (CRI) is a Pre and Post Release Program for men serving in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation at San Quentin State Prison. Our Empowered Reentry Program is a trauma-informed program based in cognitive-behavioral therapy and restorative justice principles that facilitates transformative change in participants through classroom work, small group processing, homework and individual case management.
CRI offers our program members a safe place to return to that provides transitional support from our inside program to a successful reintegration into society, providing lifelong support.
CRI also encourages our participants to live a life of Living Amends for the harm that their actions caused. This project enables our participants to share their stories with youth in the community.
